A dazzling display of fireworks lit up the night sky over Blackpool as crowds gathered to look on in wonder.
The second instalment of the World Firework Championships saw China show off its pyrotechnic capabilities on Friday.
Onlookers enjoyed better weather conditions than the previous week, when they were forced to brave the pouring rain to see Ireland’s display.
Bispham resident Mick Grewcock said: “It was one of the best displays I have seen.
“I have never seen so many people here before.”
Andrew Byrne, of Garstang, said the fireworks made for an enjoyable family outing.
He added: “We didn’t come last week because it was pouring down but I thought this one was great.”
