Dancing on Ice Blackpool actor Joe Warren Plant 'smashes it' on the ice to earn place at top of the leaderboard

The 18-year-old, who has been hard at work training at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ice Arena, hit all the right notes on his return to the ice, with a very creative routine for Musicals week.
Joe and Vanessa, wowed the panel with their technical elements of the skate to Hamilton's 'The Room Where It Happens' and finished top of the leaderboard, receiving the first eights of the series from former Olympic champions Jane Torville and Christopher Dean

Hide AdBut despite an overall score of 30, a very suave looking Joe confessed to being 'gutted' by his live performance. He said: “To be honest, I was gutted with how I performed. I can’t even talk.”
Former DOI champion and multi-finalist Vanessa reassured the teenager he had 'smashed it' after all his hard work and judge Diversity's Ashley Banjo encouraged him to push on and not play it 'safe.'
Head judge Christoper Dean, 62,added: “He’s just a natural on the ice and he just looks comfortable out there.
“You’re getting paid and you’re having fun doing this show and you did a great job. You should be really happy about that.”

Hide AdJoe's mum Steph appearing on the programme said the family were 'so proud' of his efforts and so excited to see him perform again on the ice.
Manager Jess Bell, of Blackpool's Scream Management said the support within the resort has been fantastic, she added: "Joe is amazing and working so hard. We just want everyone to get behind him and keep voting!"
