Writer and director Andy Vitolo is set to launch a new theatrical venture in Lytham.

Having worked with and encouraged hundreds of children all over the North West for the last decade – with many students going on to appear in the West End, on TV and in major productions – he is now launching Inside Out at the Assembly Rooms.

“For many years I have been directing large musicals and it’s always terrific to encourage children and adults to maximize their potential and develop more self confidence and that is exactly what Inside Out will be about,” he said. “The classes will be extremely limited and are open for children from ages four upwards and initially they will take place on a Saturday.

“I am currently writing a number of very exciting projects including two musicals, a number of television and film scripts and a prime time children’s programme that is really moving forward in a big way.”

Students will learn everything from exploration of drama to finding their voice and learning about script writing and song writing, he added.

Andy has attended a director’s programme in New York, was an acting coach for the West End’s Billy Elliot, had his work applauded by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and directed an industry showcase in the West End starring Suranne Jones.

“The places will be very limited and this is a unique opportunity, you don’t need experience... just an open mind and ready to have fun, make friends and learn loads of new skills,” he said.
