Tomorrow sees the return of the Comedy Station comedy club at the Blackpool Winter Gardens.
Headlining will be multi award winning exponent of interactive standup Sully O’Sullivan.
O’Sullivan has performed professionally in New Zealand, Canada, the USA, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, the UK and Mainland Europe receiving rave review across the world.
Opening the night will be Steffen Peddie (left).
His wry observational humour makes him one of the best comperes around, drawing from his life experiences as a single man, children’s TV performer, professional wrestler, fight ring announcer, parent, husband, son and big bloke.
Returning to comedy after an eight year break as a professional wrestler, Steffen is a little older, wiser and bigger than before, but still ready to find the lighter side of any subject or audience member thrown at him.
Prior to his time away Steffen had been performing for several years in the North of England.
An original member of Newcastle Upon Tyne’s Near The Knuckle team with the likes of Anvil Springstein, Vladamir McTavish, Gavin Webster and Ross Noble, he brings a different approach to whatever venue he performs at. With Ross Noble, he wrote and performed sketches on ITV’s children’s Saturday morning show Gimme 5 for a season as well as doing a health and fitness show called Burst! for ITV and numerous regional shows in the North East.
Host and compere will be Ryan Gleeson was accidentally given the title “local celebrity” when performing in Bolton and the local paper billed him as such even though he hails from Poulton and had never stepped foot in Bolton prior to the gig.
Since starting out on the North West comedy circuit at 16, Ryan has gone from strength to strength, becoming one of the UK’s most respected MCs and promising stand-ups.
TV appearances include ITV’s This Morning and Richard Hammond’s 5 O’Clock Show as well as reaching the finals of the North West Comedian of the Year Awards three times, an accolade previously awarded to the likes of Steve Coogan, Peter Kay and Caroline Aherne.
