Christmas is coming to Blackpool North Pier’s Merrie England Showbar.
The venue is opening its doors to free entertainment nights every Wednesday to Saturday from November 21 to December 22.
Wednesdays feature Roberts ‘n’ Ashcroft’s Christmas Cabaret – a multi-instrumental, vocal, visual comedy Christmas show. Victoria Roberts and Jo Ashcroft have been working together for over 10 years and this year they performed their first summer season at the North Pier venue to great acclaim.
They met when performing in pantomime and since combining their talents as a duo have toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
Together they have supported acts such as The Wanted, Joe Longthorne, Ricky Vallance, Gareth Gates, Toyah Wilcox, The Cheeky Girls and many more.
On Thursdays join songstress Sara Cheston and That Swing Thing Band in Swing Into Christmas, an evening of festive favourites from the world of jazz, musicals, the big bands and swing music.
Joining them will be special guest Ronnie Lee and his renditions of classic swing and blues songs, as well as some of the greatest pop songs from every era.
Sara and Ronnie starred in the Merrie’s summer season show Fantastique!, which proved so popular it was extended three times.
Every Friday from November 23 to December 21 The Kasuals return to the venue with The Sounds of the Sixties Christmas Special.
The Kasuals are one of the most popular bands to play at North Pier and throughout the summer performed in front of thousands of visitors and residents alike twice every week.
Joining the Christmas line-up every Saturday afternoon from November 24 to December 22 will be Joey Blower and his Christmas House Party – a special adults only Christmas edition of his summer show. Joining Joey will be DJ Johnny Vee.
On Sunday December North Pier will present a special one-off show for all the family in the Merrie England.Chipper & Cherry’s Cracking Christmas is a family show with the loveable all-singing, all-dancing squirrels who proved so popular in the summer.
