Whittaker Dance and Drama Centre students have yet another reason to be excited.
Last month they celebrated the 60th anniversary of the centre and now they have been invited to perform in the Easter spectacular Celtic Dream on Blackpool North Pier on Saturday April 7.
The talented young dancers will take to the stage and perform one of their most complicated, most thrilling and most loved dances, Harmonia Mundi (Gaelic Gaiety) known by many as their marvellous tribute to Riverdance.
Sheila Norbury from Whittaker Dance and Drama Centre said: “We are so thrilled to have been asked to be part of Celtic Dream. The children and young people will be performing one of their favourite pieces and are excited about being on stage with the wonderful professional singers and dancers in the show.”
Whittaker Dance and Drama Centre will join forces with the Dream Dancers, Dream Tenors and Dream Singers to bring to Blackpool the true spirit of Ireland – a blend of traditional Irish music alongside modern and popular songs.
With a selection of the finest dancers, award-winning choreographers, top vocalists and musicians from Ireland Celtic Dream embodies the spirit of Ireland.
Celtic Dream at Blackpool North Pier Theatre on Saturday April 7 at 8pm.
