Here’s to a super stay in Blackpool this year, bigger and better than ever.
Whether on a short break, a longer holiday or just here for the day – in which case you’ll HAVE to come back to take everything in – the UK’s most famous and ever-popular seaside resort really has got it all.
Boasting the longest season of the lot, it is packed with enough undercover attractions and events to become a year-round destination, whatever the weather.
Remember when the Promenade was a long straight line of railings? Not any more! Radical change as part of major regeneration has seen a series of giant headlands created along the coast from South Shore to North Shore, giving more space for visitors to explore. And in many places, traffic takes second place to pedestrians.
The new headlands, part of thehi-tech sea defences, are also the setting for special events throughout the year.
From volleyball – with tons of sand brought up from the beach – to music concerts broadcast nationally.
New look Blackpool has staged them.
