Movie fans are being urged to get their Pink Lady and T-Bird jackets at the ready tonight for The Willow Garden Project drive-in movie event at Fleetwood Cricket Club, with the chance to dress up like your favourite Grease character.
The movie night and ‘retro picnic’ has been arranged on the field, featuring huge projector will be set up for everyone to watch the cult film.
The Willow Garden Project works with people with disabilities and mental health needs to help them enjoy the health benefits of gardening.
Dominique Laird, 26, daughter of founder Pamela Laird, is a regular at the project.
She said: “I thought a new and exciting idea would be brilliant for the project, one that would interest people of all ages. Grease is such an iconic film and the drive-in scene was ideal for us to use Grease as the first film showing.
“We’re asking people to dress up in their favorite Grease outfits and there’s a chance to win prizes for best fancy dress.”
The event will take place tonight. Tickets are £2 with all proceeds going to The Willow Garden Project. Gates open at 5.30pm and the film starts at 6.30pm.
