Fancy being a star of the stage this Christmas?

Youngsters across the Fylde coast are being invited to open auditions for parts in this year’s pantomime at Lowther Pavilion.

Polka Dot Pantomimes is the new production company at the helm for the staging of Aladdin in December – and it wants to hear from talented young performers aged eight to 18 who would like to be involved in the show, which runs from December 11 to 30.

Wanted are boys and girls who can sing and dance to appear as members of the chorus – alongside a professional and celebrity cast.

Auditions will take place at Lowther on Saturday July 19.

There will be three separate casts of chorus in alternating shows, with the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people during the run.

Theatre manager Mark Alexander said: “Any child with a genuine interest in theatre is very welcome to attend the auditions – whether they are from a local dance school or have no previous experience, it doesn’t matter, as we will be looking for potential and great personalities.”

Those taking part must be no younger than eight by September 1 and parents need to fill in a form that must be brought along on the day.

Forms are available to collect from the Lowther Pavilion box office, by calling Polka Dot Pantomimes on 01775 712359 or from.polkadotpantomimes.co.uk.
