Dancing Queens and Super Troupers are being offered the chance to tread the boards alongside the cast of smash-hit musical Mamma Mia!
Would-be members of ‘Donna and the Dynamos’ can learn choreography from the professionals and get free show tickets in special Mamma Mia! dance classes.
The international touring show is marking the middle of its 12-week run in Blackpool, and the summer holidays, with a special Kids Week, from August 5-7, with extra matinee performances and the opportunity for all youngsters in the audience to take part in an official dance class.
Winter Gardens bosses are expecting the classes, to be held in The Floral Hall, to prove popular.
Managing director Michael Williams said: “We are delighted to be offering a Kids’ Week initiative during the Mamma Mia! run as this is such a popular family show.
“Many Kids’ Weeks are just about offering a ticket deal but we thought it would be extra fun to give people the chance to learn from the professionals involved in the show and actually take part in a dance class. And at that dance class we want to see everyone up on their feet.
“It doesn’t matter whether you are four or 104, the music is loved universally and it will be fantastic to see so many people learning a show routine from the professionals.”
Free child tickets will also be available to all adults purchasing a full price ticket to the extra matinees.
The free ticket offer applies to purchases of full price tickets to the matinee shows on Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 August.
One free child, aged up to 16, ticket will be issued for each full price adult ticket purchased. Additional children’s tickets will be available at these matinees for £17.50.
The Dance class will take place in the Floral Hall from 10am on Tuesday 5 August to teach the Dancing Queen Finale.
