A Big Lunch event last year

There will be chance to meet people from the local community with an event, on Sunday, in St Annes.

The St Annes branch of the Halifax will be holding a Big Lunch between noon and 3pm, in Ashton Gardens. There will be fun for all the family – with a bouncy castle, face-painting, tombola and a quiz, as well as the Just Good Friends friendship group and afternoon tea.

The Big Lunch – an idea by the Eden Project – aims to get as many people as possible across the UK to have lunch with neighbours in an act of community, friendship and fun.

Sarah Muncaster, branch manager of the Halifax Cleveleys, said: “The Big Lunch provides a great opportunity for us to talk to people on a more personal level and really helps strengthen relationships in the community.”
