Blackpool North Pier Theatre is ringing the changes with its 2012 summer season line-up beginning on July 25 and running throughout the summer school holidays to September 3.
Sundays from July 29 to September 2 will see bins, bottles, brushes, drain pipes, everyday rubbish all get a makeover as JuNk (pictured right) comes to Blackpool for the first time.
JuNk are four performers who collectively feature dance routines, harmonized singing, acting and talented percussion making up a totally interactive show.
Every Monday evening from July 30 to September 3 there’s an invitation to relive the sounds and sights from the 60s in Cavern Club Revisited – an exclusive North Pier production that will see The Merseybeats, Brian Poole, Chip Hawkes and Alan Lovell & The Swinging Blue Jeans all take to the stage to perform all their greatest hits in one evening.
Every Wednesday from July 25 to August 29 there’s a new family show Peter Pan – a fully staged musical pantomime about the boy who couldn’t grow up. Performances are at 2 and 7.30pm.
Thursdays from July 26 to August 30 bring the Ragdolls’ Tribute to The Jersey Boys, a show telling the remarkable rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and featuring many of the band’s worldwide hits.
Every Friday afternoon from July 27 to August 31 sees the return of the Dream Concert, a live show featuring a young, award-winning cast of singers and dancers paying tribute to the best pop music around from One Direction, Jessie J, Pixie Lott, The Wanted, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and many more.
Performances are at 2pm.
The party on the pier will continue every Friday evening from July 27 to August 31 with Glee Rocks! – a high energy, foot stomping, interactive production featuring all the best hits from top rated TV show.
