Stereo’s to promote Graffiti on the Train at the Winter Gardens

Welsh rock band Stereophonics

Welsh rock band Stereophonics

EXCELLENT news about the Stereophonics coming to Blackpool, with the Welsh rockers heading to the Empress Ballroom on Tuesday March 26, as revealed in yesterday’s Gazette.

Kelly Jones and co have done well to stay relevant so long, managing to avoid the fate of so many others who briefly found fame during the Oasis-Britpop era only to fade away after a mediocre album or two (Wireless, Menswear, et al).

The ‘Phonics are in Blackpool as part of a 10-date tour following the release of a new album Graffiti on the Train at the start of March. A new single – Indian Summer – is out on February 25.

It is a rare chance to see them live. The band decided to play a quick run of smaller venues ahead of an arena tour later in the year. Tickets for the Empress gig are priced £32.50 plus booking fee and go on sale at 9am tomorrow.

You can get tickets from the Winter Gardens Box Office on Church Street, by calling the box office on 0844 856 1111, or at www.blackpoollive.com

Maximum four tickets per person, over 14s only, 14-16-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.
