The Blackpool Tower is set to host unique parties at the top of the Tower again this summer.

The Skywalk Sunset Sessions were launched in the Tower Eye of the world-famous venue last summer by Radio One DJ Danny Howard and business partner Alex Huckerby.

Now the unique parties are to run again, this year featuring live acoustic sets as well as top DJs and The Voice star Emily Adams.

They are to run every fortnight from July 5 to August bank holiday Sunday.

Organiser Alex Huckerby, boss of club night promoters Randy Ron, said: “Last year we launched the SkyWalk Sunset Sessions at the top of Blackpool Tower.

“It was a great success and this year we wanted to mix things up a little bit and keep the events exclusive and in demand so we decided to put them on every other week in July and August.”

Fylde coast DJ Giles Hayton and Randy Ron regulars Jay Fontalba and Elliott Smith will launch the season, along with a special guest, on Saturday, July 5.

Giles Hayton is then set to play at every event at the Sessions’ resident DJ.

On July 19 Six15Events present Ross and Josh from MTV’s newest television programme ‘Ex on the beach’.

This summer’s line-up also includes Cleveleys singer Emily Adams, who made it to the final rounds of BBC talent search The Voice earlier this year. She joins the August 9 billing, with James Edgar, an acoustic cover artist.

The closing party will take place on bank holiday Sunday, August 24, with Jay Fontalba and Elliott Smith.

Mr Huckerby, from Poulton, added: “I am extremely looking forward to putting these parties on in such a fantastic venue.

“I like to do things differently to other promoters and use venues that no-one has ever even thought of. Blackpool Tower is such an iconic landmark and I am honoured to be the only person to put these events on.”

Limited tickets, at £12 or £20, are available from: www.randyron.com or www.theblackpooltower.com

All tickets include free entry to Crystal Nightclub for an afterparty.
