Night of music to help raise vital cash

THE Nolans will star in a special fundraising event for the hospital charity’s latest appeal.

The variety night will feature a whole host of nationally renowned acts and some stars who work for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

All money will go to its charity Blue Skies Hospitals Fund for the Going for Gold Appeal.

Acts include comedian Buddy Lee, Nolan family members with Linda Nolan compering, rock and pop band Richard Villarino and Friends, vocals by Lucy McCormack and Becky Lou, with music from saxophonist Steve Holmes and the Frank Flynn Trio.

Steve Holmes, who has organised the event with Nolan brother Brian, said: “After the success of last year’s event we have decided to hold it again to raise money for our trust charity Blue Skies, specifically to support its Going for Gold Appeal. There will be a number of acts from the trust on the night.”

The event will take place on March 8, at the Bloomfield Club, Bloomfield Road, South Shore, at 7.30pm. Call (01253) 955767.
