A Blackpool band is claiming a world record by signing a recording deal 44 years after it first formed.

Former cult band Complex has signed with the Guerssen which sees the release of digitally re-mastered replicas of their first two limited edition albums.

Some 40 years after their original release, initially intended as demo LPs to market the band to try and get that all-important recording contract, they now have them available for viewing and purchas from the Guersen website at www.guerssen.com both priced at 20 Eu.

“The deal is for an initial release of only 500 of each album so hurry before stocks run out!” said Lance Fogg from the band. “This is history in the making.”

Their original albums had an original private pressing of just 99 vinyl copies. They later released a cd version with a similar limited run.

The current version of Complex still features three of the original members and will be performing at the Chequers Club, Warton tonight.
