The Grundy Art Gallery throws open its doors to its latest installation today.

The works by acclaimed artist and poet Heather Phillipson have been brought in by curator Richard Parry in a bid to challenge Blackpool’s ideas of art and complement the town’s many sides.

The ground-floor of the gallery has been transformed to take visitors through three stages, each with video screens displaying a wealth of images and sounds to make you think, and complete with a full-size speedboat and car to climb inside.

The exhibition runs from today until September 6, open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, at the gallery on Queen Street.
