A once-popular pub is to go under the hammer this month.
The Bloomfield, on Ansdell Road, Blackpool, will form part of an auction of multiple properties conducted by Pugh property vendors and auctioneers on February 27.
Bidding will start at £140,000 for the three storey pub, which has endured a turbulent few years.
It re-opened in April 2011 after closing down in the previous June. However it closed down again in June 2011.
The Ansdell Road pub was one of the first buildings to receive special protection from Blackpool Council’s heritage chiefs to preserve its history.
It was listed alongside The George Hotel, on Central Drive and the former Palladium Cinema on Waterloo Road.
The local list was compiled to provide much-loved buildings, which are not historical enough to merit a national listing, with more protection from developers.
A description provided on the company’s website outlines that the pub has a games room and music room, and the first floor has five bedrooms, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.
