Blackpool Central Club is staging a one-off visit by the American Legends show on Saturday.
The American Legends features three of the biggest influences in American music – Neil Diamond (Matt Stone, right), Buddy Holly (Eddie Vee) and Elvis Presley (Micky Vegas) – and the show includes around 45 minutes of each tribute act with their best
known hits.
Matt Stone has performed all over the UK as well as in Guernsey and South Africa.
From playing guitar as a teenager to performing popular covers on the hotel circuit, pubs and clubs, Neil Diamond songs would always be requested.
After the success of The Jazz Singer, more Neil Diamond songs were requested wherever Matt performed until he now has a selection of hits covering four decades of Diamond's career. Matt's tribute show is known as The Beautiful Noise and has been well received wherever it has been performed.
Eddie Vee has built a reputation as one of the best known tribute acts in the UK. More famous as the world record holder for performing Elvis songs, on this tour Eddie, is performing his Buddy Holly tribute with all the classics like Everyday, Heartbeat, It Doesn't Matter Anymore and lots more of Buddy's best loved songs.
Micky Vegas has shot up the UK Elvis tribute artist ladder in a very short time. Micky made it to the finals of the Elvis Academy Event in Yorkshire in 2008 and the finals of the Best British Elvis in 2009.
The show takes place at Blackpool Central WMC on Saturday from 7.30pm and tickets at £5 can be purchased in advance from the club – or on the door.
* The show has no connection with Legends Live on Central Pier.
