BLACKPOOL are being linked with another move for Dundee United's Noel Hunt after the Lee Miller deal crashed.
But they will have a job landing the Scot – he is valued at more than £250,000.

Hunt finished the Scottish Premier League campaign with 18 goals, scoring twice against UEFA Cup finalists Rangers.

Simon Grayson made a cash offer for the 25-year-old frontman in January but it was turned down.

Hunt remains under contract at Tannadice Park for a further 12 months and United boss Craig Levein would resist any attempt by Blackpool to lure away one of his key men.

Hunt has scored 23 goals in 58 league starts during his two years in Dundee and is a big favourite at the Clydesdale Bank Premier League club – but a move to England could tempt him.

His brother Stephen plays for Reading, who Pool will face next season following the Royals' relegation from the Premier League.

Grayson has admitted he is in the market for strikers but insists he won't make any panic-buys. Miller opted to stay at Aberdeen and Grayson's long-running pursuit of Andy Bishop looks to be on the backburner because Bury want too much for a striker who scored 25 goals in League Two last season.

Grayson said: "There are plenty of players on our list because we have been working very hard behind the scenes over the last couple of months.

"If we can't get someone for whatever reason, then we move onto the next name. The key is not to panic – that's when you make bad signings.

"I'm not a manager who likes to discuss his targets in public – you alert other clubs for starters. We'll continue to talk with clubs, players and agents and I am satisfied with our progress."

Talks with Andy Morrell have continued throughout this week over a contract for next season.

The club are hopeful of making an announcement about the striker's future on Monday.

Claus Jorgensen returns from a family holiday next week and will discuss the offer of a two-year deal with Grayson.

Do I read correctly - we will have a job landing him as he is valued over £250k !!! If we are only looking for free signings and players who are valued less than £250k how does KO think we are going to survive - shouldn't this be a question the Gazette should be asking (and getting an answer from) KO. Grayson can only perform miracles for so long - and if he has to work withg those types of restrictions how long before he's off? And before any PNE fan comments - even working under those restrictions you couldn't beat us last season!!
