DANIEL Nardiello has revealed he expects to leave QPR before the start of the season - and could come to Blackpool.
The Wales striker, 25, has been lined up to move to Blackpool as part of the deal which will see Seasiders centre half Kaspars Gorkss go in the opposite direction.

Pool and QPR have been negotiating for a month about the transfer but it is expected to happen before the start of the season, and it appears that Nardiello knows it too.

"There's things going on - negotiations and things like that," said the former Barnsley and Manchester United frontman.

"I can't really say I'm going to be here in the near future. I think I'll be getting off. I've just got to sort a few things out."

Blackpool accused QPR of making an illegal approach to Gorkss after the west London club moved to sign him at the end of last season.

However, the centre half is training with Rangers and the transfer is expected to go through.

Pool will receive £250,000 plus Nardiello. There is also the possibility that another QPR player could arrive at Bloomfield Road as part of the deal, with Zesh Rehman and Chris Barker's names also being mooted.

Ratter Tat Tat,

Oughtibridge ... not far from Barnsley! 23/07/2008 16:35:11
Nardiello did OK for Barnsley for a while but I think it is 'stretching a point' to call him a former Manchester United frontman ... how many actual first team games did he play for them? Ridiculously Richie Wellens also used to have the 'former Man U' tag ... let's drop it now and only call Nardiello a former Barnsley and QPR player ... and then only if absolutely necessary.

Just heard from family member that Seasider's sponsor has gone bump! This story from Wolverhampton's Express & Star (tonight)
"Floors-2-Go goes under.

Flooring chain Floors-2-Go has gone into administration after becoming the latest victim of the struggling housing market.

Administrators of the Midlands-based laminate specialists has closed 41 stores, including those at Wolverhampton and Walsall, as the credit crunch was being felt sharply in the home improvement sector.

The Birmingham-based group, the UK’s biggest wood and laminate flooring retailer, was forced to take action on Monday evening."

Nardiello would have been better off staying at Barnsley. He must be gutted to see how his career has declined so quickly!!
