Lytham girls showed they are a force to be reckoned with as they crushed Kirkby Stephen girls 9-0 in the England Hockey Knockout Girls U16 plate.
Charlotte Evans led the way with four goals, Natasha Singleton and Sophia Crawshay each grabbed a brace, and Holly Montero got the other one.

Kirby Stephen managed a few forays forward but excellent work from Hazel Cockerill, and keeper Eleni Cullen kept them out.

Lytham Ladies moved up to second place in the table, just one point behind leaders Formby, with a 5-1 win at Mossley Hill.

Georgina Reid and Gemma Trickett each netted twice with player-of-the-match Gilly Shields crowning the performance with a great goal from a penalty corner move.

Mossley Hill managed to get one past the Lytham keeper.

Lytham Ladies 2nds also turned on the goal power, winning 4-0 away to Blackburn Northern Ladies 2nds.

Lytham dominated with some good runs from Nat Aspin creating many opportunities.

Liz Thorpe scored Lytham's first, before they took advantage of Blackburn having a player sent off with further goals from Harley Greene and Sophia Crawshay.

Thorpe netted her second and Lytham's fourth after the break.
Clare Scott was player of the match.

Lytham Ladies 3rds went down 1-0 to top-of-the-league Chorley and Leyland 1st team.

Lytham created several chances before Chorley took the lead with a controversial goal just before half-time.

Despite playing some of their best hockey of the season and looking the better team, Lytham failed to find a way through. Hannah Travis, Eleni Cullen and newcomer Jenny Malings all turned in top class performances.

Lytham Men bounced back from last week's defeat at Chester to beat Stockton 5-3 after racing into a 5-0 half-time lead.

Phil Bowman led the way with a hat-trick, with man-of-the-match Tom Atkinson (4 assists,1 goal) and Andy Robinson netting the others.

It was a different story after the interval as three times Lytham failed to defend penalty corners.

Jonny Robinson and Stuart Waby were both sent off in a scrappy second half, as well as several Stockton players.

Lytham Men's 2nds lost 4-0 to South Cheshire 2nds
A bright Lytham start soon faded as South Cheshire took control. Only last-ditch defending kept them at bay but Lytham finally cracked and trailed 3-0 at the interval.

The Cheshire side poured forward in the second half penning Lytham back but stout defence restricted them to just one more goal.

Lytham Men's 3rds dominated the first half against Blackburn Men's 1st team before letting a two-goal lead slip – the game finishing 2-2. Neil Mallileu had opened the scoring within the first few minutes following good work from Paul Burnett. Shortly before the break Mike Gannon finished of a fine passing move and LSA began to look comfortable.

However they lacked commitment in the second half and Blackburn got one back before equalising two minutes from time.

Lytham Men's 4ths won 2-0 in a physical encounter away to Bolton Men's 3rds.

They got on top after a goalless first half and took the points with goals fromDavid Gee and Steve Poole. Tempers frayed and Doug Green received a yellow card for dissent, but LSA were well worth their victory.

LSA Men's 5ths secured their first victory of the season, winning 3-1 in a friendly against Blackpool 3rds. After a goalless first half, James Buckley put them ahead before Simon Evans rounded it off with two more. Martin Hayes netted Blackpool's consolation goal.

Blackpool Men are still seeking their first away win of the season after Oxton 3rds came from behind to beat them 2-1.

Dec O'Hara gave then the lead from a short corner but the Wirral side equalised from a penalty flick awarded after an Oxton player struck a goal-bound shot which hit Peter Latimer on the forehead with the umpire deciding Graeme Kilshaw wasn't in a position to save.

Oxton snatched the winner from a short corner.

Several frustrating scoreless weeks came to an end for Blackpool and Wyre Ladies 2nds as they beat Springfields 3rds 2-1. Abi Wensley put them ahead after a good run and cross from Danni Wiggans.

Springfields came back strongly but excellent marking kept them out until a penalty flick gave them an equaliser. Blackpool grabbed a late winner through Gemma Prestwich although it took a diving save from Katie Barker to make sure they held onto the points.

Blackpool and Wyre ladies 3rds triumphed 3-0 over Garstang 3rds
They dominated from the start and were unlucky not to score more than once before player-of-the-match Lauren Burrell found the net with a great shot.

Goalkeeper Hannah Bower pulled off a couple of good saves – one from a penalty flick – before goals from Lauren Burrell and Courtney Spectrewrapped up the points.
