ALL aboard for Wembley!
Kirkham and Wesham's football heroes set off for London with deafening support ringing in their ears.

An excited crowd – almost all going to Sunday's FA Vase final at Wembley Stadium – packed Kirkham's Market Square.

There were emotional scenes as the players kissed their loved ones goodbye and set off for their dream day at the home of English football.
Manager Mick Fuller said: "It's been fantastic support from all the people of Kirkham and Wesham.

"We are travelling down to the hotel in Luton and then going to Wembley for a guided tour.

"The lads are training at England's training ground at Bisham Abbey and then the team will be picked.

"It's a great day for everyone involved with the club and for Kirkham and Wesham."

More than 4,000 Fylde coast fans are expected to travel to Wembley to see the clash Suffolk side Lowestoft Town.

Helen Wright, 42, from Warton, who is a friend of captain Dougie Shaw, said: "It's the biggest thing to have happened to Kirkham.

"We're all going down tomorrow and we may have a glass of Champagne or two!

"We're really confident. It's magic."
