SEASIDERS boss Simon Grayson praised his team's opening day display, insisting defeat by Bristol City was undeserved.
"We played excellently and sometimes football can be a cruel game because I think most people in the ground would agree that we deserved something," said the Seasiders boss.

"We played some very good football. We were the team getting the ball on the deck and passing it around and I was pleased with just about everything we did.

"The only thing we didn't do was score a goal and that is what cost us in the end.

"However, performance wise I can't really fault the lads and despite the fact that we've come out of the opening day without any points, I can't fault the effort the team put in or the way they played."

Bak-Enry-Street,

A pub in Blackpool 11/08/2008 08:45:46
Indeed 100% of those watching the game agreed that we were robbed of at least a point. In a pub straight after the game a gaggle of Bristol City fans came up to me and a few other disconsolate Pool fans and said "you guys were robbed". Let's hope this is not a phrase we get to hear often. Very good and entertaining match but as a Pool fan I started getting worried with 10 minutes to go as we have all been there and bought the t-shirt and WHAM! another t-shirt was purchased. Bottom line, we need a a killer instinct striker. Number 7 played the game and the crowd very well BTW.
