A fund raising celebrity night with Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor at Blackpool Grand Theatre on Sunday has been snookered.

Snooker fans were planning on forming an orderly "cue" at the theatre on Sunday when legends Steve Davis OBE and Dennis Taylor were teaming up for A Load of Balls and a Snooker Cue - an evening of sporting anecdotes and a look back at their careers.

But a spokesperson for the Grand Theatre said today: "The visit of A Load of Balls and a Snooker Cue with Steve Davis OBE and Dennis Taylor at the Grand Theatre has now been cancelled by the producer. The Grand Theatre Box Office is contacting all ticket holders to offer refunds or exchanges."

Proceeds from A Load of Balls and a Snooker Cue were to have gone to the North West Air Ambulance saving lives across the region.
