BLACKPOOL defender Kaspars Gorkss is set to complete his controversial move to Queens Park Rangers next week.
The Latvian international, 26, has agreed personal terms with the Hoops, according to a statement put out on their web-site today.

It is the latest twist in a long-running, acrimonious saga, and a surprise given Blackpool's previous hard-line stance on the matter.

QPR's move for the player resulted in Blackpool making a complaint to the soccer authorities, claiming that the London club had 'tapped' him up illegally.

Late last week Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston said he would do anything to block Gorkss' move to Rangers after claiming they had approached the player illegally.

The deal is worth £250,000 and QPR say terms have been agreed.

Asked to react to the QPR statement, which came out of the blue, Blackpool secretary Matt Williams said: "I have no comment to make on anything about Kaspars Gorkss."

So.... Gorkss and Hoolahoop both gone for a combined fee of £500,000.

Was the Livingston situation ever sorted out, and how much will have to be paid to them?

Will all this money be made available to Larry for team strengthening.

I fear the worse for this coming season.

We'll be looking forward to League One football this time next year.

I hope I'm proved wrong.

Agreed this is a bit of a worry, Baptisa and Martin on paper don't seem to be the same quality as what has left the club.

We need to reinvest that £500k and more, the midfield is looking very very weak, defence is okay and if we get Dickov strikers should be sorted. I just think we need 2 quality and proven midfielders otherwise we are going to be overrun.

Still a lot of time before the 1st KO so lets see what Grayson can bring into the club, he is no fool and will know exactly where the weaknesses in the team are.

Up the Pool!!!

Hmmmm,1/. Hoolaghan, no right foot, poor in the air, knocked off the ball a little too easily at times, head dropped too often, blew hot and cold, great (at this level) on his day, heart not in the club. 2/. Gorkks, very disappointed he seems to be leaving .Thought he had more honour, just another foreigner after money. Good riddance, if they don't want to play for the club let them go.They were unknowns when Larry signed them and I'm confident he'll unearth quality again, remember Hoola who,Gorkks !!!!, Latvian, OMG,We have no chance. Well listen to you now . Those two staying will cause unrest in the dressing room, a worse scenario.Up The Pool

Philstar, super points very well made. The one thing we have is team spirit, it is that alone that has got us where we are. If we can get dickov and 2 more players, we may even be better off than last season.
Come on ye pool

It's about time that POOL gave the £250k back to Southend and reclaimed Peter Clark, he would be just the man to sort out our defence in the absence of Kaspars. Clark knows the way POOL play and had a great understanding with Southern, come on Karl get your hand in your pocket and bring the lad back home! !!!

Philstar

Gorkks and Hoolahan are two professional footballers, they get paid for their services.
Mind you, if you were had the chance to do the same job for a shed load more money would your honour stop you from going ??
Get real, your team has good support, a good young manager and is being run by a bunch of total amatuers.

I read with total amazement that some BFC supporters want Clarke back from Southend, yet also state that those that decide to leave are selling out.
What on earth do you think Clarke did to us a couple of years ago. He left us festering in league one whilst he happily swanned off to the Championship.
Please, Please, Please don't bring Clarke back!
