BLACKPOOL defender Kaspars Gorkss is set to complete his controversial move to Queens Park Rangers next week.
The Latvian international, 26, has agreed personal terms with the Hoops, according to a statement put out on their web-site today.
It is the latest twist in a long-running, acrimonious saga, and a surprise given Blackpool's previous hard-line stance on the matter.
QPR's move for the player resulted in Blackpool making a complaint to the soccer authorities, claiming that the London club had 'tapped' him up illegally.
Late last week Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston said he would do anything to block Gorkss' move to Rangers after claiming they had approached the player illegally.
The deal is worth £250,000 and QPR say terms have been agreed.
Asked to react to the QPR statement, which came out of the blue, Blackpool secretary Matt Williams said: "I have no comment to make on anything about Kaspars Gorkss."
