Dickov set to sign for Pool
BLACKPOOL look set to be successful in the chase for striker Paul Dickov.
According to sources close to the player, the Seasiders' long-running pursuit of the 35-year-old has been successful.
Simon Grayson has been tailing Dickov since the end of last season following the front man's prolific loan spell at Bloomfield Road when he scored six goals in seven starts and helped keep the club in the Championship.
Grayson has been on tenterhooks for the last month with Dickov also offered a lucrative 18-month deal with Toronto FC.
Earlier this week Leicester entered the chase.
But today reports suggest that Dickov has opted for the seaside, where he will be offered a player/coaching role.
If the transfer goes through it will represent a huge boost for the club who have offered the striker what they say is a "very decent" offer.
However, after such a protracted transfer there is still a chance that things could go wrong and Blackpool fans won't be able to rest until the striker's move has definitely gone through and has been officially announced.
