World Cup star delighted to join Fylde
RUGBY legend Jason Robinson breezed into Fylde RUFC and insisted: "I am here for the long term."
Robinson, 36 today, who has shocked the rugby world by coming back to the game with Fylde, insisted: "If I didn't think I could do something at this club, I wouldn't be wasting my time – and it's not a publicity stunt.
"I don't see this as being a flash in the pan – I see this as something that will go on for years and years because I look forward to playing different roles at this club.
"I am not saying I will be playing for another five years, but I want to stay involved.
"This is not about me – it is about helping other people to achieve their goals.
"It is a win-win situation for all of us."
Robinson, a World Cup winner with England in 2003, revealed that he had turned down the chance to play again in the Premiership, choosing to join Fylde instead.
