THERE will be one very familiar face in the Cardiff City ranks tomorrow.
Trevor Sinclair has come a long way since he rolled up as a teenager at Blackpool.
Sinclair became the Seasiders' youngest ever player when he made his debut in August 1989 aged 16 years and five months (a record since broken by Matty Kay).
He was a member of the Division Four play-off winning team in 1992 and became a firm fans' favourite for his dazzling skills.
Sinclair said: "I had a terrific time at Blackpool and you always remember the place where you started with a lot of fondness.
"I'm glad they are doing so well and hopefully I'll get a chance to face my old club."
People still talk about Sinclair as the last great Blackpool player.
It was little surprise therefore when he moved up the divisions to QPR in 1993 and went on to have successful spells at West Ham and Manchester City.
He also played for England, unexpectedly starring in the 2002 World Cup in the Far East after injuries enabled him to grab a place in the side.
Sinclair, 35, could start tomorrow but is more likely to be on the bench.
A knee injury has overshadowed his first year at Cardiff and he has started only a handful of games.
