FYLDE Rugby Club say the signings of centre Ed Binham, fellow back Gavin Cartmel and prop Simon Griffiths will be completed this week, writes STEVE SIMPSON.
Binham is the oldest and most experienced of the trio at 31.
He has played for Coventry, Plymouth Albion, Bedford, Ebbw Vale, Northampton, Luctonians and in France.
Teenager Cartmel can play at full-back, centre or wing and scored plenty of tries for Cumbrian club Penrith.
Griffiths, formerly with Liverpool St Helens, played up front as Lancashire retained the County Championship in May.
Coach Mark Nelson said: “He was very impressive for the county and is keen to test his skills at National League level.
“Simon will initially travel from his home in North Wales but we hope to find him an equivalent job locally to enable him to move here on a permanent basis.
“His arrival is nearly the final piece in our squad jigsaw for the coming season and I am sure he will flourish at the Woodlands.”
The three will figure for Fylde against a Sale Sharks XV in Saturday’s Woodlands friendly.
