More away day blues for Fylde at Loughborough

Fylde's long run without a win on their travels continued against Loughborough in National League One

Owen Waters gave the home side the 6-0 lead with a couple of penalties.

The Students landed another penalty before the match's first try after 26 minutes as Fylde hit back with a converted score by Adam Lewis to reduce the deficit to two points.

In the run-up to half-time, Waters added a fourth penalty to take the score to 12-7 before the home side crossed for a converted try.

Fylde had a clear chance to pull a try back at the start of the second half, but messed it up,

It proved costly as Loughborough went to the other end and scored a second try to make it 24-7

A third Loughborough try followed to add to Fylde's woes.

Loughborough received their second yellow card of the contest and during the time the home side were reduced to 14 men, prop Jake Pope crossed for a try for Fylde on 58 minutes.

Three minutes later, Waters slotted over a penalty to make it 32-12 for the home side.

Prop George Davis increased Loughborough's healthy advantage with a converted try (39-12).

On 76 minutes Sam Pointon races in for another converted try as Fylde's capitulation continued (46-12).

Three minutes later, Fylde score in the corner, their third try, but it was too later to matter.
