Brothers Gareth and Scott Rawlings have linked up with Fylde rugby club from Longton

For second row or back forward Gareth it is his second spell at the Woodlands.

Scott plays in the centre or fly half.

Coach Mark Nelson said: “I targeted the Rawlings brothers as I consider them to be great assets to the club.

“I am delighted that the process is now complete.

“They are both England Counties’ players and are both physical and skilful players.

“The league is getting stronger year by year and it is very important that we can add quality players like the Rawlings to our squad.”

Meantime, hooker Tom Burtonwood has re-signed for Fylde

Nelson said: “Tom came on leaps and bounds for the 1st XV throughout the season, and it was great that he finished off his campaign scoring what was effectively the winning try for Lancashire at Twickenham in the Bill Beaumont County Cup Final.

“It is especially significant that Tom stays with us as he is a product of the club mini junior section.

Burtonwood was voted last season’s young Fylde player of the season.
