Rugby league’s Summer Bash is returning to Blackpool for a third successive year.
A full round of Kingstone Press Championship fixtures will again be staged at Bloomfield Road over the bank holiday weekend of May 28-29, 2017.
The headline attraction is Hull Kingston Rovers’ Summer Bash debut against their former Super League rivals Bradford Bulls on the Saturday night.
Also making their first Blackpool appearance will be French club Toulouse, who face Halifax on the Sunday.
The two-day 13-a-side feast will begin with the League 1 Cup final.
Rugby Football League chief operating officer Ralph Rimmer said: “The Summer Bash is always a fantastic event.Last year 16,000 passionate fans came to Blackpool and watched some outstanding action.
“It is always a memorable weekend and we are all very proud to be taking it back to Blackpool in 2017.”
2017 Summer Bash schedule:
Saturday May 28: 12.0 League 1 Cup final, 2.30pm Oldham v Rochdale Hornets, 4.45pm Featherstone Rovers v London Broncos, 7pm Bradford Bulls v Hull KR.
Sunday May 29: 12.35pm Swinton Lions v Sheffield Eagles, 3pm Toulouse Olympique v Halifax, 5.15pm Dewsbury Rams v Batley Bulldogs.
