Pool complete Adam deal
BLACKPOOL have smashed their transfer record to sign Rangers star Charlie Adam.
The Scottish international has agreed a two-year-deal with the option of a third for a fee of 500,000.
Adam, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bloomfield Road at the end of last season, will go straight into the squad for tonight's friendly against Premier League side Everton.
The 23-year-old was Pool's number one summer transfer target and boss Ian Holloway says he delighed with the deal.
"He played a massive part in keeping the club in the division and having watched all the DVDs from last season and listened to the staff and supporters, I know exactly what he can bring to this club," said the Pool boss.
"I am absolutely delighted to have signed him.
"I would also like to thank Mr Belokon for making this transfer happen, he has put an unbelievable amount of trust and faith in me and I am extremely grateful.
"I am sure he will be as delighted as all the supporters and I am at signing Charlie."
Adam will take the number 26 shirt at Bloomfield Road.
Pool's final pre-season friendly against Everton is at Bloomfield Road tonight, 7.45pm.
The Premier League side are expected to name a full strength squad and the visitors will be well supported, with the East stand sold out.
