CYCLING superstar Bradley Wiggins’ next racing challenge will bring him to Blackpool next month.
The Tour de France winner and Olympic time trial gold medallist will contest the Tour of Britain, which visits the Fylde coast on September 12.
The 32-year-old has been given extra time off by Team Sky following his hugely successful summer and is not participating in the Tour of Denmark next week.
Chorley-based Wiggins revealed: “I’m doing the Tour of Britain. I’ll try to stay fit so I don’t embarrass myself.”
The fourth of the Tour’s eight stages takes the riders from Carlisle to Blackpool.
