Ollie pleased with Joe's best game
IAN Holloway has given Joe Martin a pat on the back for having his best game yet for the club.
The manager spoke highly of the left back's performance against Ipswich, after Martin was thrown in as a replacement for the injured Stephen Crainey.
It was only Martin's second league start of the campaign, and he hadn't trained throughout the previous week because of a toe injury.
But he was part of a back four that kept a clean sheet against Roy Keane's side and Holloway was pleased with Martin's contribution.
"He got tired towards the end, but in general that was as good as Joe's done for us," said the boss.
"Stephen Crainey's shoes are a big pair of shoes to fill because he is just so consistent.
"But Joe is still only 21 and I think he's improving all the time.
"Ipswich had a lot of big fellas on the pitch and when they are lumping the ball into your box, you've got to be big and strong enough to deal with it.
"So well done to Joe and to everybody for what they did on Saturday because it was a good performance."
