League clubs eyeing up Wembley hero Walwyn
SCHOOLBOY Mattie Walwyn's Wembley heroics have not gone unnoticed by a host of Football League Clubs.
The 17-year-old former Blackburn Rovers trainee scored two late goals to help Kirkham and Wesham lift the FA Vase.
And now the Kirkham Carr Hill high school pupil may find himself being wooed by some of the north west's professional clubs.
Burnley are reported to have watched Walwyn in action and are monitoring his progress.

Clarets boss Owen Coyle won't discuss individual targets but has admitted that he is looking at players from below the Championship.
"I've got no doubts that lower league players can make the step up," said Coyle. "The magic in it is making sure you spot the right ones.
"But there are players far and wide playing at a lower level that can step up.
"I know myself from coming through as a part-time player, you aspire to be the best and you really want an opportunity, and if you get the opportunity, then it's up to you to take that."

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has been informed of Walwyn's progress but it's unclear whether the Seasiders have been checking out the teen.
Like Coyle, though, Grayson is not scared of delving into the lower leagues, especially for strikers. He has actively pursued Bury's Andy Bishop for the last 12 months and has kept an eye on Stuart Fleetwood's progress at Conference North outfit Forest Green Rovers.
"There are some very good players in every division and as a manager you have to keep your eyes open and cast your net far and wide," said the Blackpool boss.
"It's a big step up from the lower leagues to the Championship but I'm sure there are some players who are capable of doing it."
Walwyn, whose late father Keith played for the Seasiders, may also find himself being watched by the likes of Rochdale, Stockport and Bury, all clubs who are on the lookout for local non-league talent.
