Holloway will only sell Adam to top four
POOL will only consider selling their star players if one of the "big four" makes an offer.
Ian Holloway and chairman Karl Oyston are determined to add to the squad, not sell, in a bid to survive in the Premier League and ensure another 40m cash bonanza.
They know that the best way to achieve that is to keep the likes of Charlie Adam and David Vaughan, and that's exactly what Holloway intends to do.
"We don't need to sell anyone. We are in a great situation and I don't think any one of my lads will want to move, or at least I'd be very surprised if they did," said the boss.
"If another Premier League club comes in for them which isn't Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City or Chelsea, I'd be surprised if they wanted to go.
"If it was one of those big four that came in, then maybe I'd have to talk to them."
The club would not comment on rumours that a bid for Adam was received yesterday from an unnamed Premier League club.
The Pool captain continues to be linked with a host of clubs, including Everton, Newcastle and Blackburn.
