BLACKPOOL have made Marlon Harewood their FIFTH signing of the day.
The 30-year-old striker put pen to paper on a 2-year-deal at Bloomfield Road on Wednesday afternoon.
The 30-year-old has bags of Premier League experience at West Ham and Aston Villa, and was keen to stay in the top flight.
Harewood had been training with the Seasiders for the past week and impressed boss Ian Holloway enough to offer him a two-year deal.
"I am happy with the move to Blackpool and looking forward to playing in the Premier League again this season," said Harewood.
"I was impressed with Ian Holloway and all the lads when I was training with them last week and I like the ideas Ian has for the team.
"We are underdogs this season as everyone is tipping us to go down, but I am hoping I can score the goals to help Blackpool stay up."
After weeks of frustration Blackpool today also confirmed the quadruple capture of Craig Cathcart from Manchester United, Ludovic Sylvestre from Czech side Mlada Boleslav, Elliot Grandin from Bulgarian outfit CSKA Sofia and Malaury Martin from Monaco.
Harewood was free agent after his three-year deal at Villa expired and Martin O'Neill decided against offering him a fresh contract.
The striker, who will go straight into the Pool squad for Saturday's trip to Wigan, spent three months on Newcastle United last season.
