Grayson to go window shopping
SIMON Grayson has admitted he's had a major rethink of his January transfer policy – he'll be making permanent signings, not temporary.
The Seasiders boss has conceded that it's been more difficult than he thought to complete loan moves in the Championship.

Even if he succeeds on that front – he's still trying to add a new face ahead of tonight's clash at fifth-placed West Brom – he has decided to take no chances next time around and will move quickly to bolster his squad when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Backed by cash from president Valery Belokon and chairman Karl Oyston, Grayson has declared that he won't hesitate to spend.
"I think the injury situation we've got at the moment has made me rethink about what I'm going to do in January," said Grayson, who is waiting on fitness tests to Andy Morrell and Gary Taylor-Fletcher before naming his starting 11 tonight.
"When we set out in the summer I went with the intentions of having a set squad knowing that I could go into the loan market.
"I didn't want a massive squad because I didn't like the idea of having too many lads sitting out on the sidelines all the time.
"But this has made me realise I need more bodies permanently because I didn't think it would be this hard to bring loan players in. I've found it is so difficult that we will probably go out in January and carry a bigger squad than I first thought I would have to.
"You don't want to go from game to game and day to day trying to find players.
"You learn from experiences and we will in January improve the squad and make sure we are top heavy."
Asked how many he'd bring in and if he had financial backing to do so, the manager added: "I haven't got a figure. It will depend on whether we have any long term injuries in between now and January.
"I'll try and bring in as many as I can. All managers say that. You go with your budget and resources dictate exactly what you can bring in.
"But January is a long way off. We have a lot of games before then and we'll just wait and see about what numbers we're bringing in.
"As for the money available I've not been specifically told what I've got to spend.
"But I've never had a problem with bringing players in.
"Every time I've gone to the chairman or Mr Belokon for a player they've backed me. It's just actually getting the player. Asking for the money is not a problem.
"If I can bring two or three loan players in now the club will back me. They always have done and I'm sure that will be the case during the window as well."
