Lancashire completely dominated the Northern Counties Seniors’ qualifier at a wet and breezy Ilkley to reach the English Finals for a third time.
The Red Rose side, which included Fleetwood’s Glyn Rees, led by seven shots after the morning.
They then stepped up a gear in the afternoon to prevail by an impressive margin of 24 shots.
Oldham’s Alan Squires claimed the individual title with a two round score of 141, three ahead of Cheshire’s Dave Nelson.
Red Rose skipper Mike Gray finished third on 149. The finals are at the RAC club Epsom from October 7-10.
The full Lancashire team was Terry Brown, Mike Gray, Stewart King, Jeremy Morgan and Rees.

A ladies’ class held at the Tee Time Golf Centre at Norbreck has proved so popular that another class will be held on Saturdays at 11am.
