Fylde's £3,000 five-a-side
FYLDE footballers could be in line for a bumper Christmas present by winning one of the most lucrative five-a-side tournaments the area has seen.
Teams will battle it out for the 3,000 first prize in the two-day tournament at PlayFootball.net on Garstang Road West.
The entry fee is 200 for a team of up to eight. Bolton star Gavin McCann will present the cheque to the victorious side.
The runners-up will win a holiday on the Balearic Islands and there are cash prizes for the third-placed team, best goalkeeper, top goalscorer and fair play winners.
"It's something a bit different and we're looking forward to staging the tournament," said venue manager Jayne Stefani.
The group matches will take place on Sunday, December 27, when each team will be guaranteed four matches. The knockout stages will take place on Saturday, January 2.
