Inclusion Festival at AKS

AllStars was invited along to a fantastic festival of sport at AKS Junior School.

The Key Stage 2 Inclusion festival was designed for students who do not usually have the chance to represent their school in sporting events.

Each of the schools taking part entered teams of four boys and four girls.

Ansdell, Heyhouses, Ribby-with-Wrea and Mayfield joined hosts AKS in a series of events.

Those were designed to develop fundamental skills, such as hand-eye co-ordination, agility and teamwork.

AKS emerged overall winners with 715 points.

A special mention also goes to the year six leaders from AKS, whose efforts ensured that the afternoon’s competition ran smoothly.
