BLACKPOOL have been hit with a massive blow with the news that new Liverpool striker Krisztian Nemeth fractured a cheekbone in last night's defeat to QPR.
Nemeth was involved in a collision with a QPR defender 60 seconds after coming on as a second half substitute.
He spent the remainder of the match rubbing his cheek but bravely stayed on until the end.
However, following a hospital scan this morning it has been revealed that he has suffered a fracture that is likely to keep him out for several weeks, effectively destroying his one-month loan move before it had properly begun.
It leaves Pool desperate for a breakthrough in the transfer market ahead of Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.
