Youth football round-up: Poulton Primary League and Blackpool and District Youth League

YMCA secured a comfortable 8-0 win at home to Thornton Cleveley Reds in the Under-12s premier division of the Poulton and District Primary League.

The home side started brightly, with lots of inventive attacking play, but failed to convert several early chances.

However, two goals were eventually netted to give them a 2-0 lead at the interval.

YMCA continued to dominate proceedings and added a further six goals to run out comfortable winners.

The impressive Noah Mawene led the way with two goals, with Daniel Keegan, Charlie McGuiness, Kaiden Pirrie, Yash Passi, Ross Hurst and Jacob Buchan also on target.

Harrison Hill scored the winner for Clifton Hornets as they ran out 2-1 winners away at BJFF Predators in the Under 12 Championship.

Jamie Kelly Rutherford also scored for the Hornets in a close-fought match in which they fell behind after just five minutes.

Matty Poole (2), Thomas Doogan and Henry Wilshaw were on the scoresheet as Blackpool Rangers Seasiders beat Blackpool Rangers Titans 4-1. Both sides came into the game in good form but the hosts secured a comfortable win.

In the Under-14 premier, Foxhall were beaten 3-0 by Clifton Rangers JFC, with goals coming from Ben Wilmott, Oliver Shaw and Will Salanki.

YMCA made it four wins from four games with a big win at home to AFC Blackpool.

Callum Fielding, Brogan Grundy, Jacob GriceJosh Dolby-Armstrong, Conah Trevelayane, Marco Amin and Ethan Goulding shared the goals.

In the Under-15 Championship, Foxhall came from two goals behind to earn a 3-3 draw against Poulton Town.

Alfie Mallinder scored twice for Poulton, with Joe Harrison grabbing the other.

AFC Fylde drew 3-3 away at Clifton with goals coming from Jimmy Nelson and Owen Watkinson (2).

In the second round of the Lancashire Cup, YMCA Under-12s claimed a place in the third round with a 9-2 win at home to Littleborough.

There were mixed fortunes for Gold Bond Blackpool and District Youth League sides in the Under-18 section of the Lancashire FA Cup.

Foxhall were 2-0 winners against Westbury Sports thanks to goals from Connor Smith and Aaron Waterfield.

Oli Pitt and Kieran Howell found the back of the net as St Annes beat Croston 2-1.

But both Fleetwood Town teams were knocked out.

The Reds lost by a single goal to Coppull United, while Lucas Bradley scored a consolation as Town lost 6-1 to West Didsbury and Chorlton.

The only league game at that level saw Warton Typhoons come back from 2-0 down to beat Foxhall 3-2, with goals coming via Ryan Holgate, Quaid Henderson and Ross Minshull.

In Under-13 Alpha Gold, BJFF Blades continue to set the pace as Spencer Phillips scored five in a 7-0 win against Poulton, with the other two coming from Harrison Giggal (see previous pages).

YMCA suffered their second defeat in seven days with a 2-1 reversal at Thornton. Fraser Hallas handed Thornton the lead only for Nathaniel Gili-Ross to level matters. Hallas netted his second and Thornton held on to claim all three points.

Harry Melia scored a hat-trick as Foxhall beat Kirkham Blues 6-1. Kaiden Shorrocks bagged a brace and Oliver Connel also scored, with Daniel Fryer netting for Kirkham.

In the Alpha Silver division, Layton lead the way after goals from Charlie Strachan (3), Karl Pacheco (2), Billy Ogden (2), Anthony Cantley and Corey Foster gave them a 9-1 win against Lytham Blues, for whom Ben Baines replied.

A Prince Yelegon hat-trick on his debut helped Thornton Cleveleys Whites to their first win of the season. Jaydn Walsh scored two and Adams Meadows also scored a debut goal as they beat FC Rangers 6-4, with Matthew Guy (2), Thomas Appleby and Ryan Henson replying for Rangers.

A Dan Fletcher hat-trick and a further strike from Vinny Ormerod gave leaders Foxhall a 4-0 win at Kirkham.

Second-placed Lytham Juniors Home Heat kept their perfect record intact as they beat local rivals St Annes Greens 4-1.

Goals for Lytham came from Daniel Pilling, Josh Serghi, Kai Clarkson-Lowe and Max Older, with Aiden Preston scoring for St Annes.
