Fleetwood Town have recalled striker Matty Hughes after Martin Paterson’s loan spell was ended.
The Huddersfield forward pulled up with a suspected hamstring injury during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Swindon.
He will not be fit before his two-month loan spell is due to expire and returns to West Yorkshire.
That means young gun Hughes has been called back early from his loan spell with Chester where he scored four goals in eight appearances in the Conference.
He could be in the squad when Fleetwood face Sheffield United next week.
