Jamie Proctor’s header on the stroke of half time was the difference as Fleetwood Town made it back to back wins to kick off their League One campaign.

Proctor stooped at the back post to turn home Josh Morris’ cross with seconds left of the first half after Town had dominated the opening 45 minutes.

That was despite playing for a lengthy period with 10 men after Gareth Evans was taken off the field for treatment, County offering little in the way of threat.

That changed after the break with the introduction of Zeli Ishmael whose pace and vision opened up Town.

Gary Jones and Ronan Murray both tested the visitors but it was Fleetwood who had the best chance to score.

Antoni Sarcevic’s looping pass from David Ball who hesitated too long as Roy Carroll approached, the experienced keeper tipping the Fleetwood man’s shot over the bar.
