AFC FYLDE marched into the finals of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy with an impressive 3-0 victory over Kendal Town.
They will now meet North West Counties Premier Division side Bacup Borough in the final on March 11 at Bolton Wanderers’ Reebok Stadium where they will start favourites.
Joe Booth, Jack Dorney and Adam Farrell all got on the scoresheet in a semi-final that turned out to be one-sided. The Coasters comfortably dealt with anything that the Cumbrian visitors could throw at them before taking control, though the score remained 0-0 at half-time.
Fylde opened their account six minutes into the second half through, Booth netting.
The second goal came on 78 minutes, Dorney scoring with a superb left-foot strike.
Farrell added the third after a spill by Kendal goalkeeper Craig Dootson, tapping home from close range.
Manager Dave Challinor said: “The lads get to play at a lovely stadium and the chance to win a trophy.”
AFC Blackpool lost 1-0 at home to Bacup Borough last night.
