Steven Gillespie today became the sixth summer signing for Fleetwood Town.
The 27-year-old striker has moved to Highbury from Colchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The Liverpudlian has spent the past four years with the Essex club, scoring 25 goals in 98 League games, and had another year of his U’s contract to run.
Before then Gillespie had scored 29 in 88 games for Cheltenham, having also played for Bristol City after starting his career as a trainee at Liverpool.
Gillespie adds plenty more Football League experience to the Fleetwood squad, who have also signed Damien Johnson and Jon Parkin in recent days and will welcome Torquay United to Highbury for their League Two opener on August 18.
