The 27-year-old has agreed a deal with the Vanarama National League club until the end of the season and he’s in line to make his debut against Eastleigh on Saturday.

Holmes has had spells at Tranmere Rovers, Fleetwood Town and Newport County.

He joined the Coasters on a non-contract basis in the summer after leaving the Welsh.

The move to Bootham Crescent was triggered when York put seven days’ notice to Fylde of their interest.
